Owner of Towards Healing Clinic

As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) licensed by the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), I bring a wealth of education and experience to my practice. I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the esteemed University of Ottawa, complemented by an Honours Baccalaureate in Psychology from the University of Toronto.

With over five years of clinical experience, my journey in psychotherapy began during my internship, where I had the privilege of working closely with refugees and immigrants who had endured traumatic experiences. This pivotal experience ignited my passion and dedication to serving clients navigating trauma-related challenges.

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to serve diverse populations in Toronto and North York, working within esteemed institutions such as Downsview Health Care and Pinpoint Health- Infinity Health: Medical Clinic and Rehab Centre. Specializing in trauma-informed care, I am committed to providing culturally responsive and safe therapeutic environments for clients facing a spectrum of mental health challenges, including PTSD, childhood trauma, mood disorders (anxiety disorders and depression), and self-esteem issues.

My therapeutic approach is multifaceted, drawing from a diverse range of modalities tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual. I am proficient in Trauma-Informed therapies, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Interventions, Strength-Based Interventions, Compassion-Focused Therapy, as well as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I have also earned a Certificate from Beck’s Institute in the “Essentials of CBT” and am currently undergoing training to become a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist Professional (CCTP).

With a deep commitment to ongoing professional development and a steadfast dedication to my clients’ well-being, I am honored to accompany individuals on their journey toward healing and growth.

Therapy as a Journey of Reclamation

Embarking on the journey of healing is a profound step towards embracing our innate capacity for self-understanding, authenticity, and inner peace. We are all inherently driven towards self-realization, yet often hindered by the obstacles life presents.

My approach to therapy is integrative, trauma-informed, and deeply rooted in narrative therapy, helping clients reclaim agency over their lives by reshaping the stories they tell about themselves. Healing begins with understanding, and rewriting the narratives that have shaped a person’s identity, self-worth, and emotional responses.I believe that change starts with creating a safe space where we can explore what healing looks like for you and how your struggles have impacted your life. By highlighting your values and what is most important to you, we can create ways for you to move toward a meaningful and fulfilling life. My work is guided by empowerment, self-compassion, and emotional regulation, helping clients move from survival-based coping to intentional, value-driven living.

Core Principles of My Approach:

1. Narrative Re-Authoring: You Are Not Your Struggles

• I help clients separate themselves from their problems, whether it’s self-criticism, anxiety, trauma responses, or ingrained unhealthy beliefs about worth.

• Through externalization, we examine these challenges as influences, not identities, reducing shame and fostering empowerment.

• Together, we re-author self-narratives, shifting from stories of inadequacy or fear to stories of resilience, agency, and self-worth.

2. Trauma-Informed Healing: Understanding the Root of Patterns

• Many struggles—perfectionism, self-pressure, difficulty with boundaries—are adaptive survival responses formed in early life.

• We will explore how traumas and past attachments affect your present relationship with yourself and others.

• By recognizing flight, fight, freeze, and fawn trauma responses, clients can reclaim choice and build healthier emotional responses.

3. Self-Worth Beyond External factors: Cultivating an Intrinsic Identity

• Many of my clients have learned to equate their worth with performance, success, and external validation.

• Through narrative work, self-exploration, and value-based decision-making, I guide clients in reclaiming identity beyond societal expectations.

• The goal is to develop self-worth rooted in authenticity, not productivity.

4. Emotional Regulation & Self-Compassion: Moving From Self-Judgment to Self-Acceptance

• Healing starts with developing a genuine curiosity toward oneself without judgment.

• Together, we will explore inner wounds and past emotions that you may have endured for a long time.

• We will also build concrete skills for managing the present through psychoeducation, worksheets, visuals, and metaphors.

• By integrating mindfulness, distress tolerance, and exposure work, we create emotional flexibility and resilience.

5. Reclaiming Connection & Relationships: Expressing Needs Without Fear

• Many clients struggle with people-pleasing and hyper-independence, often rooted in childhood survival strategies.

• Therapy focuses on expressing emotions, asking for support, and setting boundaries—not as a rejection of others, but as a step toward authentic connection.

• The goal is to develop secure relationships where needs can be expressed without guilt or fear of rejection.

Reclaiming Your Story: Healing Through Strength and Self- Compassopn

Healing is not just about understanding past wounds, but also about recognizing the strengths that have carried you through difficult times. I care deeply about exploring the unique outcomes in your narrative, helping you honor your resilience while also making space for new ways of being.Throughout our work together, I emphasize self-compassion and emotional regulation, helping you respond to unhelpful beliefs, shift unhealthy coping behaviors, and build skills that support your well-being. Therapy is a space where you are no longer defined by past wounds, but by your own evolving, empowered story.
